Dyslexia, A.D.D (Attention Deficit Disorder), A.D.H.D (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

Dyslexia, A.D.D and A.D.H.D are not diseases but names people give to certain types of behavior or to the
different types of problems some people have, especially school related problems.

ADHD or ADD impacts about two students in every classroom, in every school, across America. Some of the
symptoms include:  Short Attention Span, Easily Distracted, Restless, Impulsive, Poor Organization, Trouble
Getting Started and Following Through, and Low Self Esteem.

The
Linkonlearning unique environment encourages the student to stay on task, complete the task and
increase their organizational skills.  As each child completes a unit or lesson successfully, the link on
learning environment uses positive reinforcements that motivate the learner. Learners are permitted access
to
Linkonlearning's unique Recess Environment when tasks are completed successfully.  This environment
is a safe and productive tool that parents can feel comfortable with their child participating in.

Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are different types of
learning styles. We at Link On Learning have taken steps to help these students achieve higher grades,
gain self esteem and understand that they are very bright and talented individuals.

The Link On Learning system allows each child the time to pace themselves accordingly to achieve
these goals by allowing the parent / administrator on the account access to all learning levels. We give
you the parent / administrator the ability to place the student in the appropriate grade and level for each
unique course. Each course is fully auditory and visual to encourage and motivate each student to
reaching their potential.

Dyslexia
Approximately 60% of individuals diagnosed with attention deficit disorders are also dyslexic, however, their
learning and language differences are often unrecognized because only the behavioral aspects of ADD are
addressed. Without the proper diagnosis and help, many of these dyslexics and ADD individuals are only
functionally literate, and are part of the forty-four million adults with only the lowest level of literacy. This limits
their ability to find jobs and function independently within their communities. (from the Dyslexia Research
Institute)  One of the most common challenges facing a Dyslexic student is the difficulty with spelling
development.

A well designed program for students who do not learn easily will emphasize the sounds in the words,
the letter combinations that usually spell those sounds, the spellings of six basic syllable types, and how
the spelling rules of English work. Such a program would teach spelling patterns in a structured
sequential way.  Link On Learning allows the administrator to set the student up with such a program
allowing them the opportunity to be successful, building self esteem, while creating those essential
building blocks for learning.
