Linkonlearning

Linkonlearning
is an alternative application for parents that have home schooled students, students
with Special Needs, and for general students within your learning environment.

While we place great emphasis on the educational side of learning, we are much more than just a
home school program.
Linkonlearning is an online home to its students and parents. Complete with
dynamic report cards, an interactive library resource center, fully monitored chat rooms, and educational
games in the recess area.

In contrast to our competitors, our lessons and tests are stored in a fully reproducible context so that
parents can recreate the student’s complete response. This allows the examination of each lesson or
test as it was completed by the student. We collect all the data for the entire life cycle of the student,
which allows for a complete understanding of the student's aptitude.

Linkonlearning helps many parents with their children's education by providing all core curriculum
lessons, and leaving the religious education within the family unit.
Linkonlearning is available to home
schooling parents who are looking to find curriculum-based programs to aid in teaching their children.

Linkonlearning has recently created
AZTEC – A-Z Training and Education. This fully accredited online
high school will educate grade 9-12 students all over the world.

Below is a brief summary of a few of the Curriculum's that were taken into consideration while
developing the
Linkonlearning program.

ACE Accelerated Christian Education - School of Tomorrow - Designed for students that are Christian
faith based learners from K-12. Each Pace Booklet is very similar to the Linkonlearning environment
with lessons and instructions geared towards independent learning. Accelerated Christian Education's
concepts are based on the following Five Basic Laws of Learning:

A child must be at a level where he/she can perform.
He/she must have reasonable goals.
His/her learning must be controlled, and he must be motivated.
His/her learning must be measurable.
His/her learning must be rewarded.

Linkonlearning is very similar to this educational model.

Charlotte Mason Curriculum - Designed for homes, private schools, and home schools, her blend of
practices includes: Narration and copy work, Nature Notebooks, Fine Arts, Languages, a Literature
based curriculum.

Reggio Emelia Curriculum - The Reggio Emelia Approach is based on the belief that children are
capable of creating their own knowledge, that they communicate their knowledge to themselves and
others, and that parents and teachers should act as primary facilitators.

Waldorf Curriculum - This curriculum is based on a pedagogical philosophy that places emphasis on
the whole development of the child, including a child's spiritual, physical and moral well-being as well
as academic progress. There is a strong emphasis on social abilities and the development of pre -
numeracy and literacy skills. Formal learning begins later, and learning is done in a very creative and
artistic environment.

Montessori - This system of education is both a philosophy of child development and a rationale for
guiding growth. It is based on the child's developmental needs for freedom within limits and a carefully
prepared environment, which guarantees exposure to materials and experiences. Through this, the
child develops intelligence as well as physical and psychological abilities. The Montessori method is
founded on the principle of respect for self, for others and for the environment.  The teacher acts as a
facilitator of activities, as well as a role model of respectful behavior. Teachers are unobtrusive in the
learning process, allowing each child the opportunity to make their own choices. The Montessori
program concentrates on 5 areas of learning: Practical life exercises, Sensorial exercises, Language,
Mathematics, and Cultural Activities.

Unit Studies -Unit Studies are a way of integrating most, if not all subjects under a single topic of study.
For example, if you were studying Ancient Greece, you would cover the history of ancient Greece, the
science of the time period, practice writing skills through reports, short stories, etc. based on what you
have learned, & you may practice reading by reading the mythology of the times.

There are many contributing factors and issues that can make
Linkonlearning the perfect fit for the not
so perfect world around us.
